ERECA continues to expand and innovate its product portfolio, offering advanced fiber optic transmission solutions for the broadcast industry. In this update, we highlight some of their solutions.
Stage Racer 2
The Stage Racer 2 takes fiber optic transmission to a new level, thanks to its decentralized network topology, allowing coverage over large distances and signal management from any point in the network. The Stage Racer 2 series, which is constantly expanding, includes two new products:
Core Racer: Designed for larger networks, it supports 12G I/O, 12G frame buffering, and ST2110 gateway, connecting the Stage Racer universe to the IP world.
Mini Racer 2: A compact and robust version, ideal for peripheral connections in networks, such as sound control rooms or large-screen displays.
At its core, the Stage Racer 2 features advanced capabilities, supporting a wide range of signal transmission and reception, such as Genlock, Ethernet, analog audio, AES, MADI, Dante, and more. It offers up to 24 SDI ports (16x 3G + 8x 12G), integrated audio and video processing – including audio embed and de-embed – frame synchronization, multiviewer, and an intuitive web interface for control, with regularly updated firmware at no additional cost, except for specific features.
Stage Racer 1
The Stage Racer 1 offers multi-signal point-to-point transmission with up to 12 SD/HD/3G video signals and switchable SDI ports. It’s an ultra-flexible fiber optic transport solution, ideal for both indoor and outdoor broadcast events. With ERECA’s unique functionalities, such as customizable HDSDI connector direction and the ability to transmit multiple signals (IP, Analog/AES/MADI Audio, Serial), the Stage Racer 1 becomes the preferred solution for fast and accessible event management.
CAM Racer 8K
The CAM Racer 8K is a complete fiber optic transmission solution for cameras, designed for use in OB vans, studios, and cinema. It consists of a transceiver, which can be attached to the camera via V-mount, and a 1RU base unit. The CAM Racer carries all necessary signals using just two single-mode fibers in a standard SMPTE cable. Supporting up to 4 channels of 12G-SDI, this solution is compatible with a wide range of cameras, from ENG devices to 8K cinema cameras.
X-Racer
The X-Racer range is a compact solution combining SDI transmission and IP control in a standalone design, featuring portable transmission units designed for the broadcast environment. Each module includes its own main power supply and is available with optional standard SMPTE connectors. Depending on the model, various options are available, including multiple SDI outputs per module, redundant power inputs, and SMPTE Neutrik/LEMO connectors.
Topas 4K
For PTZ cameras, the Topas 4K series provides SMPTE fiber transmission, supporting 12G and 3G SDI, bidirectional HD/SDI monitoring, and camera control via Ethernet or Serial. The customized design of these units allows them to fit directly into the camera’s base. These devices transmit all necessary signals for camera operation, including 12G SDI, Genlock, RS, Audio, Lanc, IP, and GPIO. Cameras and transmission modules can be remotely powered via SMPTE cable.
Net Racer
The Net Racer platform consolidates ERECA’s transmission solutions for broadcast applications into a 3U rack with 16 slots. With high-power integrated power supplies, the Net Racer enables unique features, such as remote powering of devices via hybrid SMPTE cable.
Audio Racer
The Audio Racer is a compact and efficient solution for signal transmission between a mobile truck and the stage, covering IP, audio, and serial signals. The system also transmits a bidirectional HDSDI signal for cinematographers.
