This time, responding to the need to replace the existing LED screen system in the information studios in Lisbon, and making the leap to the use of HD content possible, once again RTP relied on Pantalha to provide its supply and delivery services. on-site installation.
The technical requirements for this tender had very specific characteristics, but necessary to ensure technological evolution, keeping its costs balanced. Pantalha then presented a solution based on Unilumin's Upanel.
Upanel is a product specially designed for internal use, as is the case with RTP's information studios. Being a robust product that responded to the technical specifications of the project, Pantalha decided to propose it as a solution, having also managed to drop from a 2.5mm dot-pitch, the minimum required by RTP, to a 2.3mm dot-pitch, achieving thereby increasing the resolution of the screens and making the quality / price ratio even more attractive.
Pantalha ensured all the installation and configuration work, with very tight deadlines. After about 2 weeks of work and coordination with the technical teams of RTP, to ensure that the news pivots would continue to have background screens to work with, the Pantalha team, together with the RTP set design team, finished the installation of 5 LED screens, which totaled more than 50 square meters.
The result is visible to all, just turn on the television on the public station channels at the time of information programs.
